Cyberpunk 2077 endings explained1/16/2024 ![]() Even more frustratingly, the post-assault section where you are setting up new mission with Mr. You probably had exposure to them once or twice before, but at least I didn't have any sort of personal interest in their stakes. We know who rogue is, so it's cool to see her throw some influence around to assault Arasaka, but most of the other characters were essentially random NPCs. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen in a vacuum and taking this ending just feels kind of disconnected from the rest of the story. Let Johnny take over, rope Rogue into one last mission, and go take down Arasaka. In a vacuum, this was a really fun ending. The credit holo messages are also incredibly heartbreaking. The only shortcoming here is that it obviously doesn't leave much room an epilogue. Johnny is clearly just as tired of it all and the two seem to imply finding comfort in possibly just moving on to the next life rather than hanging on through some digital bullshit magic or whatever. On one hand V's just tired of everything, and on the other hand it seems like every choice risks more collateral damage. This was admittedly a better ending than I expected due to the conversation between V and Johnny being pretty thoughtful. Like when you're investigating some dude's wife and Johnny's spouting off crappy crime noire tropes.Īnyway, I actually loved most all of the endings, and I think some of them could definitely change rankings based on your background, but for the most part they are all beautifully-written. I pushed through and was very surprised to find Johnny rubbing off on me, often at completely unexpected times. After initially finishing the heist and having the whole split personality thing thrown in, I was admittedly really frustrated because all I really wanted from the game was to run jobs with my chooms. I finally finished the game and ran through all endings, and what a ride.
